Elements of the system were created during subsequent projects, starting with the project “Historical Atlas of Poland XVI century – completion of the series” in 2016, when its foundations were laid. During a three-month, one-person sprint, the first version used in production was created. Through “Ontological foundations for the construction of historical geographic information systems” and many others, until the last project “DARIAH-PL research infrastructure for humanities and art sciences” in 2023, cloud-version of the idea was improved.
After years, it can be stated that by using a mature ecosystem of spatial-geometrical technologies, it is possible to achieve various goals faster and cheaper. Hundreds of thousands of pages have been processed using INDXR and the database contains millions of items.
